CEO CRYSTAL SMITH

Crystal Smith is the CEO of Crystal Smith Enterprises, Crystal Smith Media and Joy105.com, with operations in Hollywood, Calif. and Atlanta, Ga. She has worked in business and entertainment for the past 25 years and her extensive business experience includes work within the music, television, media, marketing and faith-based industries. Her proficiency in branding, brand management, digital marketing and public relations allow her to operate in her passion for brand identity, executive producing, problem solving and developing media content. Additionally, she has built a professional portfolio on executing revenue-generating strategic plans and is considered an entertainment and faith-based strategist.

 

Within entertainment and corporate America, Ms. Smith contracts with renown and global names of the 21st century in entertainment and business. Her diverse clientele includes television networks, artists and entertainers, production companies, corporate businesses and faith-based organizations. Simultaneously, Ms. Smith consulted on television projects as well as on developing business ventures. In early 2018 as Casting Producer, her companies managed the casting for season 3 of NBC’s hit game show, “The Wall,” where businessman and NBA superstar LeBron James serves as Executive Producer and landed the marketing and advertising for the “Creed 2” movie starring Sylvester Stalone and Michael B. Jordan. Ms. Smith served as Casting Producer for a new gameshow, “Spin the Wheel,” where singer, songwriter, producer and actor Justin Timberlake is an Executive Producer. Additionally, she currently is a Senior Marketing Producer for the upcoming TV drama, “God Friended Me,” which first aired on the CBS television network September 30, 2018.

 

Also in late 2018, an eight-year business endeavor that Ms. Smith worked on culminated with the grand reopening of The Met Philadelphia in December 2018. Originally opened in 1908, the historic facility underwent a more than $56 million-dollar renovation and now showcases its versatility as a concert, business, theatre and church venue. The Met has partnered with the billion-dollar promotion company Live Nation in a 29-year multi-cultural, multi-use lease deal to bring some of the world’s best artists and entertainment to the Pittsburgh tri-state area. She serves as the COO for The Met and HGH and deems this to be one of the biggest deals to date to close.

 

Ms. Smith was a Casting Producer for the 2016 daytime talk show, “The Preachers,” (produced by Telepictures Production/Warner Brothers).  That same year, she executive produced and directed a movie entitled, “Aborted,” and also put together a six-city tour for the premiere of, “The Wall.” She has since served as a Casting Producer for each season of “The Wall.” 

 

In 2011, Ms. Smith launched the digital magazine, www.joy105.com, which is now one of the most visited digital magazines in the faith-based community. Joy105 has a social media audience of more than 250,000 followers. Ms. Smith has interviewed and worked with most of today’s top authors, actors, actresses, R&B artists, gospel artists and preachers. She loves to keep readers informed of faith-based news and of news pertaining to faith-based audiences.

 

Ms. Smith is a principled and meticulous person. She watches details and brings a fresh approach to new endeavors to activate, lead, inspire and excite organizations – from grassroots to Fortune 500 companies. She is a firm believer that flawless execution is possible with proper planning, the right team and dedication to the project. She is the author of the book, “The Silent Tears of a Single Parent.”

 

When considering all of her accomplishments, Ms. Smith deems the cultivation of her children as the greatest. She is a single mother to four children: her eldest son serves our country in the U.S. Army; her second son serves our country in the U.S. Air Force; her daughter is a 2018 Spelman College graduate with a Political Science degree; and, her youngest son is a high school graduate and now pursuing his future career endeavors.
